Mid Skye Cluster

Global Infrastructure completed a £2.5m water main project on Skye for Scottish Water. The project connected the remote communities of Elgol, Stollamus and Torrin to a central Water Treatment works in Broadford, with each location having their existing treatment facility (Inverness Filter) converted to water storage.

This environmentally sensitive project saw us lay 27.6km of water main through various island landscapes, which were reinstated to their original condition and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders concerned.
