Site Roles at Dounreay West Substation

We are expanding our delivery team for the Dounreay West 275/220kV Substation project in Caithness - a nationally significant infrastructure development forming part of SSEN’s Orkney-Caithness 220kV network.

Roles Available:

• Working Foreman / Gangers

• Skilled Groundworkers / Builders

• Semi-Skilled Groundworkers

Scope of Works Include:

• Deep drainage, ducting, concrete foundations

• Cable trough installation and platform civils

• Full building construction and fit-out

• Basic mechanical and electrical works to buildings

Project Details:

• Location: Dounreay, Caithness

• Rotation: Monday to Friday (Moving to 12 days on / 2 days off)

• Duration: Ongoing through to early 2027 

• Accommodation: Provided 

• Rates: Competitive and dependent on experience

Minimum Requirements:

• CSCS card – required for all site roles

• CPCS – required for relevant plant operators

Open to:

• Individuals (PAYE or subcontract)

• Companies wishing to put forward a full squad would be of interest
