Global Infrastructure Receives Kirby Monthly Quality Award for Quality Leadership at Aberarder Windfarm

Following World Quality Week – a global celebration of quality and the people who champion it across organisations, teams, and communities – we’re proud to share that our proactive approach to quality management has been recognised by our client, Kirby.

The Kirby Monthly Quality Award was presented to our team last week at Aberarder Windfarm, where Global Infrastructure is currently on-site working in partnership with Kirby to deliver the substation for SSE Renewables. The award reflects the positive communication, openness, transparency, and commitment to quality shown by everyone involved in the project.

A spokesperson at Kirby commented: "As part of World Quality Week, Kirby proudly recognise Global team’s outstanding commitment to quality and transparency. The openness during audits, both with us and our Client, and your proactive management of the quality system have made a meaningful impact across the wider project team. We’re delighted to present the Kirby Quality Award – Contractor of the Month, in appreciation of your contribution. Congratulations!"

A spokesperson at SSE Renewables, added: “The SSE Aberarder project team would like to congratulate Global Infrastructure on this recognition for their ongoing commitment to quality on the Aberarder project, this provides assurance that the Global Quality Management processes are robust, and that those responsible for implementing them are committed to satisfying both Kirby’s and SSE requirements. SSE look forward to the continual collaboration on this project.”

Our scope at Aberarder includes the construction of the substation building, control building, and completion of the site platform. Once complete, the new substation will connect the windfarm to the national grid, supporting the delivery of clean energy to communities across Scotland.
