We held a bake sale at GI HQ in aid of Mikeysline. Mikeys Line are a local charity in Inverness, set up to support people in emotional distress and struggling with their Mental Health. Thank you to everyone who baked goodies, donated money and also to those behind the scenes who did the organising.

12 of our site personnel attended a Construction SHAD Event held in Inverness. There were various speakers from businesses such as Balfour Beatty, Raigmore Hospital and BAM Nuttall who covered topics such as Prostate Health, First Aid covering CPR & AED, Manual Handling, Construction Dust and much more! There was also an introduction to the students who are participating on a 18 week Civil Engineering Operative course at Inverness UHI through the CECA Scotland Academy. The feedback has been excellent so a huge thank you to those behind the scenes involved!

Fantastic morning at Millburn Academy! We are very passionate about demonstrating the amazing opportunities the Civil Engineering and Construction industry has to offer. Thank you to our Commercial Department; Drew MacDonald, Mark MacDonald, Grant Munro and Paul Wallace for showcasing our industry to the S1 - S6 students.

GI hosted the CECA Scotland Academy students at one of our largest projects to date. The multi-million pound SSEN Transmission contract was awarded to us in early August and is well underway for the design and construction of two strategic storage facilities in Inverness and also Dundee which is starting in January 2024.

We held a two hour session for the students to witness live construction site activities and they met with our site team out on the park and also in the office, who explained the work we are currently undertaking. The students got to sit in one of our excavators so we could show them the blind spots which demonstrated the importance of people and plant safety.

The students are currently undertaking an 18 week Civil Engineering Operative course through Inverness UHI so this has been very beneficial for their own learning and a great insight into the Construction Industry.

Good luck to the students who are graduating in January, we look forward to seeing you in the new year!
