Recognition for Plant Operator Davy Grant at Dounreay West Substation

After more than a year on site at Dounreay West Substation, a Volvo excavator supplied by Campbell Plant Hire has been returned following over 3,000 operational hours.

CPH were so impressed with the condition the excavator was returned in that they recently presented Davy Grant, our Plant Operator who operated the machine throughout its hire period, with a voucher for Cafe1 as a thank you. A simple gesture of recognition that reflects the pride, responsibility, and safety-first approach our teams bring to site every day.

Working on behalf of our client Siemens BAM Joint Venture for SSEN Transmission, we are currently delivering the construction of six buildings alongside the associated electrical equipment foundations at Dounreay West Substation, our most northerly live project.

With better weather finally arriving in the north, the project is now operating at peak activity. All six buildings are fully erected and progressing through various stages of construction, including external cladding, internal fit out, and full mechanical and electrical installations. Infrastructure works across the site are also continuing in parallel.
