Bruar Hydro Scheme
Global Infrastructure successfully planned, managed and delivered a 1.9MW hydro scheme for our client Gilkes Energy on the Athol Estate, Pitlochry. 4.5km of GRP Pipe off 1300 and 1400 mm diameter was laid across moorland. The existing dam was upgraded and incorporated a reinforced concrete intake structure.
The powerhouse structure was of concrete and stonework to replicate the existing hillside architecture.
