During 2022, our Compliance Manager Rheanna Urquhart, and Site Engineer Fraser MacPherson, had the pleasure of attending GEG Capital’s Emerging Leadership Programme with a group of other individuals from across the portfolio. Aimed at those who aspire to be in leadership roles, the 12-month blended learning programme encouraged participants to think beyond the confines of their current roles and areas of responsibility, and into the mindset of future leaders.
Since graduating from the Emerging Leader program, Rheanna and Fraser have been working in the background alongside Jennifer from Business Support, to give our website a facelift. It now features a page with all our 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬, with the option to apply directly via the website by uploading a CV. A secondary news page has also been added to keep users informed of when we are attending 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬. A page on 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 demonstrates that there is no wrong path and also includes some insightful spotlights on our Directors. We have also added information on 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬, detailing current 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, as well as the journeys of past and present apprentices within the business.
Kyle Thomson, Engineering Manager and Rhianna Parker, Environmental Trainee attended Millburn Academy's DYW Leavers Modern Apprenticeship Showcase for students to get the chance to speak to local employers about apprenticeships and current vacancies available.
Every month, we will be highlighting our directors and their unique paths into the Construction and Civil Engineering sector.
First up, we have Executive Director, Iain C Henderson who shares how the Global Infrastructure journey began with David MacDonald and Alan Tolmie. The business started out as Mansefield Construction in 2009 with an initial turnover of £3m in the first year, reaching £40m this year with further growth projected in the years ahead.
